Dear friends,
World in Harmony was established in 1986 with the objective of moving food surpluses from Europe to impoverished areas. The first experience was a success and motivated us to continue working to support the most disadvantaged groups and countries.
Since then, we have carried out more than 150 projects, in various countries, some of them in collaboration with other NGO’s and humanitarian organisations which share our objectives and values. Our efforts have concentrated primarily on:

humanitarian aid in emergency situations, for example, after natural disasters, conflicts, etc.
- reducing the suffering and improving the living conditions of the local communities, whether by means of infrastructure projects (e.g. hospitals, fresh water wells, etc.), or by providing the necessary means for the development of employment opportunities to permit the people to enjoy a dignified standard of living (e.g. the creation of milk or agricultural cooperatives).
- offering professional and academic training opportunities through scholarships and the organisation of workshops and seminars
During all these years we have lived very gratifying experiences, although not without their difficulties. The generosity of all those persons and institutions which support us, allows us to approach those who need us and to be privileged by the opportunity to help them change their lives. Each donation, no matter how small, can make an enormous difference to them. Enormous is also our satisfaction upon observing each step towards progress, each smile and each glimmer of hope which is born within them, all of which infinitely compensates the obstacles we encounter along the way.
